About GHBCI
Empowering Health Through Science
Our Mission
We promote health and wellness by advancing body composition science, providing evidence-based programs for improvement, educating the public, and training professionals in standardized assessment methods.
Our goal is simple: make accurate health information accessible to everyoneâwithout bias or commercial influence.

Why We're Different
Most health education out there is driven by marketingânot science. At GHBCI, we believe knowledge should be evidence-based, accessible, and free from commercial pressure. Hereâs what makes us unique:

Unbiased & Nonprofit
Weâre not here to sell you a deviceâweâre here to educate you with science-backed methods.

Education for Everyone
Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or someone just starting to explore your health, our programs meet you where you are.Â

Science-Driven, Not Trend-Driven
Weâre led by internationally respected experts in body composition science. Our content is based on decades of researchânot on whatâs trending on social media.
We envision a world where body composition assessment is a standard part of careâhelping people live stronger, healthier lives across the lifespan

How We Make an Impact
-
Educate â Online & in-person certification programs

Joshua Farr, PhD
Dr. Farr is an Associate Professor in the Division of Rheumatology, University of Arizona Department of Medicine. In addition, he serves as the Ethel McChesney Bilby Chair for Osteoporosis Research in the Arizona Arthritis Center. Over the past ten years at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minnesota), Dr. Farrâs work has been seminal in the identification of senescent cells in the bone microenvironment, and their role in mediating age-related bone loss in old mice. He also served as PI on a phase 2 trial to test the effects of intermittent senolytic therapy on bone metabolism in postmenopausal women, which has key implications for the future development of senolytic drugs. Dr. Farrâs laboratory at the University of Arizona will focus on the roles of senescent cells in mediating aging and chronic diseases.
